3D Rendering System using Data Glove
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper, we introduce 3D motion rendering system based on a data glove. Our glove measures the movement of fingers by using flex sensors. Integrated FPGA gathers the data from sensors and performs pre-processing of the sensor data. The acquired data are forwarded to PC through Bluetooth communication and an application program displays the gesture. Keywords-Ueser Experience, Wearable Devices, 3D Rendering

A VR Interface for Collaborative 3D Audio Performance
This paper presents a novel interaction paradigm to support musical performance using spatial audio. This method reduces the interface bottleneck between artistic intent and spatial sound rendering and allows dynamic positioning of sounds in space. The system supports collaborative performance, allowing multiple artists to simultaneously control the audio spatialization. The interface prototype...
متن کاملSegmentation Assisted Object Distinction for Direct Volume Rendering
Ray Casting is a direct volume rendering technique for visualizing 3D arrays of sampled data. It has vital applications in medical and biological imaging. Nevertheless, it is inherently open to cluttered classification results. It suffers from overlapping transfer function values and lacks a sufficiently powerful voxel parsing mechanism for object distinction. In this work, we are proposing an ...

This is a final report for the DIMACS grant of student-initiated project. I implemented Boundary Element Method(BEM) using Java. The system is tested with Rutgers Master II haptic glove. This report covers related background research, implementation of BEM and experiment results.
متن کاملEvaluation of Hand Grasping by Instrumented Glove
In this paper the evaluation of effectivenes of instrumented glove in measurement of hand opening and preshaping during reach-to-grasp movement is described. In the experiment presented in this work the reach-to-grasp movement of one healthy subject was measured by two different types of motion-tracking devices (3D optical system, Optotrak, and commercial instrumented glove, 14 sensors Ultra Da...
متن کاملA new haptic device for applications in virtual reality and humanoid robotics
This paper presents an innovative haptic interface that allows to simulate a generic touch sensation thanks to the integration of an electro-cutaneous device and a force-feedback system. After investigating different levels of interaction with the human perceiving system, with the main goal to implement a virtual reality device with high sense rendering capabilities, we developed a special glov...
